“Don’t worry about them. I just decided not to leave any loose ends when I left. By which I mean…well, you see.”

Wiz looked around. “Um… I’m not quite sure I do, considering you’re on the ground, too, Kazuma.”

“Oh, I’m just lying here, relaxing. It was me versus all of them, so practically speaking, I think this is a win for me.”

“Get over yourself, Kazuma; you could hardly stand by the third opponent!”

“You looked like you were gonna start crying the second we attacked you, so we took it easy on you, that’s all!”

Let the losers talk. In numerical terms, it was my victory.

Wiz, herself a former adventurer, seemed to catch on to what had happened as she listened to us. “I see… Adventurers do love to see one another off with a little violence, don’t they? Well, don’t mind if I do…”

“Wiz, if you ‘saw me off’ adventurer-style, I think I’d die even if you did hold back!” I forced my aching body upright and took the bag from Wiz. Just as I’d promised Vanir, once I’d gotten my money this morning, I’d bought a whole load of this stuff.
